No Bone Reduction
Natural bone conservation has been one of the foundational tenets of implantology for over 50 years, yet still to this day the most advanced full arch implant procedures require significantly aggressive and traumatic bone reduction measures.
Screw retained hybrids, the “standard of care” for full arch implants, often require alarmingly aggressive bone reduction measures to create adequate VDO space for restoration in spite of the traumatic, long term consequences. The consensus across the academic and clinical implant worlds is that aggressively traumatic bone reduction could possibly lead to significant future problems and even catastrophic results. Patients who undergo alveolar bone reduction procedures may eventually require even more extensive surgical procedures, i.e. zygomatic implants.
Even though the practice of alveolar bone reduction is frowned upon, the majority of implant practitioners must still remove large amounts of bone on a routine basis. Until now, this traumatically damaging procedure has been a common prerequisite for full arch screw retained procedures.
Thanks to the invention of ZircOnX, implant dentists no longer have to voluntarily destroy healthy bone just to create space for screw channels and plastic teeth. Bone reduction guides are fast becoming a thing of the past. No longer are surgical bone reduction guides needed to create adequate VDO for final restorations. This outdated and archaic procedure has been completely nullified while also giving the patient a far superior implant supported final restoration, all without destroying any natural alveolar bone. The ZircOnX engineering system completely eliminates the evils of alveolar bone reduction and focuses on bone conservation in every single case, every single time.
